Ayisha Buhari Cup : Black Queens promises to deliver

The senior national women’s team, black queens of Ghana pledges to deliver in their upcoming invitational tournament in Nigeria which is dubbed “Ayisha Buhari Cup”.

As part of their preparations towards the Awcon 2022 qualifiers come next month october 2021, when they come face to face with their Nigerian counterpart super falcons in a two legged encounter, they uses this as a preparatory grounds as they eye qualifications to the Awcon and the world cup proper.

Matilda Dzefa, media personal to the Ghana football association and a member of the black queens team back in nigeria, speaking to Mynd 105.1 fm Kumasi with Zacharia Yussif, suggest unequivocally that the ladies perhaps knows what’s at stake so they are there to deliver.

“They know exactly what at hand, given our next month qualification match against super falcons, knowing that anything short of victory in both legs would mean not to qualify for the Awcon and largely to the world cup.

Most especially, putting into perspective the length of time the queens qualified for a world cup tourney, so they are poised to deliver starting from the Buhari Cup”. This she said.

The queens are in a group together with Cameroon and south africa and they will be playing their first match on come friday the 17th of september 2021.
