In form Asante Kotoko defender Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has identified PSG captain Thiago Silva as one he looks up to as a professional footballer.
According to Badu, the modern trend of football which has acquired center backs to do a lot of passing is the reason why he picked the Brazilian.
In an exclusive interview with Kumasi based light of, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu said:
“My style of play is that of Thiago Silva of PSG. His calmness and ball retention are what I have inculcated.”
“The modern-daycoaches like ball-playing defenders that’s why I am keeping glued it.
It is really helping me a lot.”
In addition, Badi revealed that it will take consistency for Kotoko to conquer Africa.
“Every team needs time to group together for the telepathy and cohesion to be attained but in our situation, it isn’t like that, ”
“We don’t play together for a long time, every time players coming in and out.”
“In order for us to reckon with the likes of Al Ahly in African competitions, we need to be groomed for a long time.”
