Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture have confirmed that Black Stars coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has been handed a contract after a long delay.
C. K. Akonnor replaced his compatriot James Kwesi Appiah as the Head Coach of the Senior National team in January after he was relieved of his duties in December last year.
The Ghana Football Association were lambasted for not exhibiting professionalism by appointing C.K. Akonnor to head the Senior National team without a contract.
Renowned Journalist Kofi Asare Brako who is a special aide to the Minister of Youth and Sports confirmed in an interview with Angel FM that the problem with the contract has been rectified.
The seasoned journalist confirmed that C. K Akunnor received and signed the agreement last week but he did not disclose his salary which many Ghanaians believe to be around $20000 per month.
