Referees committee set to punish Four Ghanaian officials

Four Ghanaian referees are set to face severe sanctions from the Referees Committee.

The Referees Committee held a meeting with the officials who were involved in the Premier League fixture between Eleven Wonders and Inter Allies which was played on the 5th February 2020.

The conclusion drawn from the meeting indicates that the Referees Committee have found the officials guilty of a breach of ethical rules along with some other serious integrity issues which needs to be fully investigated by the integrity officer.

The four officials are,Alphonso Attiapa(center referee), Desmond (4th referee), John Ngavor(assistant referee) and Isaac Asante (assistant referee).

The officials went contrary to the recommended rules of guidelines for the season by accepting an invite for Hotel accommodation from one of the teams involved in the match.

The officials will be faced with further interrogation from the Integrity Officer.
