WPL week 7 REVIEW – Fabulous Ladies and others record first win as the first round ends

Soccer Intellectuals recorded their 4th win of the season after beating Ladystrikers 2-0 at Ajumako. Priscilla Boakye and Linda Amoako’s goals gave Soccer Intellectuals their 4th victory as they maintain their 2nd position on the league table.

Struggling Immigration ladies also managed to secure a narrow win in a hard fought game.
Immigration Ladies who have drawn 3 and lost 3 of their games beat Sea Lions 1-0 at their home turf. Gifty Appiah’s goal helped the Accra outfit to clinch their first victory of the season.

Hasaccas Ladies Travelled to Tema to beat Halifax Ladies 2-1 to maintain their lead on the WPL table.

Northern Zone

Fabulous ladies celebrates their first victory of the season by defeating Supreme ladies 1-0 in the regional derby on Sunday. Florence Fosuaa’s lone goal helped Fabulous ladies to beat Supreme ladies at their own backyard. Supreme ladies remain at the bottom of the table after 1 draw and 6 defeats.

Prisons ladies remain unbeaten as they shared points with Northern ladies at the Sunyani coronation park. Prisons ladies are leading the league table with 17 points. They have won 5 matches and drawn 2 as the first round of the 2019/20 women’s premier league ends.

Kumasi Sports Academy ladies were held at home by Ampem Darkoa ladies. The KuSA Ladies and Nanama shared the spoils as they played out a 1-1 draw at the Paa Joe Park.

Ashtown Ladies finally recorded their first victory of the season after their 1-0 triumph over Pearlpia Ladies.
